A template is a useful starting point and a terrible destination. If everyone starts and ends with the same composition, customization becomes decoration.
Constraints should create momentum
Good constraints remove accidental complexity while preserving meaningful choices. We keep spacing coherent and interactions accessible, then open up typography, composition, texture, motion, and media.
The goal is not infinite controls. It is a wide range of recognizable outcomes.
That distinction guides every editor decision: fewer abstract settings, more direct visual choices, and defaults that help rather than homogenize.
